Design of 10 outdoor functional areas in kindergarten

The outdoor environment is the foundation of games, and in order to enable children to engage in more diverse and active exploration, it is necessary to make full use of the environment. Children can enjoy sunlight and air outdoors, and relax both physically and mentally. The fun outdoor environment and abundant outdoor facilities in kindergarten can effectively stimulate children's interest in active exploration, and have a great influence on their curiosity, imagination, creativity, cognitive, verbal, emotional development, and other aspects.

When creating outdoor environments for kindergartens, Oushang Ju usually divides the outdoor environment into planting areas, sandy areas, role-playing areas, leisure areas, climbing areas, storage areas, music areas, painting areas, transportation and cycling areas, micro terrain areas, and other areas.

01 Transportation Cycling

Professor Frost from the University of Texas in the United States once pointed out that an excellent outdoor playground must have 20 core elements. The first one is' hard ground lanes for children to ride bicycles'.

Playing aids containing traffic signs, symbols, and roadblocks are placed in the area to guide children in activities. This provides an experiential game area to simulate the social traffic environment and create vivid and specific life scenarios for children, while also increasing their knowledge of traffic.

02 Climbing Wall

Climbing the wall takes up very little space, which can save outdoor space in the park to a certain extent. And the climbing equipment is fully functional, which can exercise children's hand foot coordination ability, improve their confidence, and promote the development of their thinking ability.

03 Shashui District

The sandy area in kindergarten is an important medium for children to perceive nature and an essential ecological environment element within the kindergarten.

Children are born experts in playing with sand and water. With simple props such as shovels and buckets, the sandy area can become their exclusive playground.

04 Micro terrain Mountain Slope

The use of micro terrain can attract young children to actively deepen their understanding of nature and space in games.

07 Music Zone

The music area is a type of kindergarten area game, which is a space for children to develop their artistic abilities independently. In the design, it is necessary to make reasonable use of the corner space of the kindergarten, consider the appropriate height for plant placement and growth, and design planting areas with room for use.

10 Storage Area

The outdoor storage area is used for centralized storage of outdoor game materials, ensuring that large-sized game materials can also be stored inside. The internal structure is stable, the storage space is large, and it reduces the long-term exposure time of game materials, extending their service life.

When setting up centralized storage, a stylish storage room should be designed to blend the appearance and environment of the storage room, meet the aesthetic taste of young children, and enhance the outdoor space affinity of the kindergarten.
